What Heaven would be like for Brendan

We had some left over hot dog buns so we decided to use them up by going to the duck pond at BYU. As soon as we pulled up to the curb next to the pond, Brendan could see the ducks and started squealing with excitement. He couldn't get out of the car fast enough.

He loved the ducks and kept trying to get in the water with them. Good thing Chris was there to prevent that.

Brendan chased the ducks for a long time. It was hilarious to watch him and also tiring but mostly for Chris since I just stood there taking photos.

He was a good duck herder.

It was insane how close the ducks let you get to them. They aren't scared at all since they have been well fed for many years by human hands. It was a cool experience to have them so close. I wanted to pet one but I was too scared of having my hand pecked off.
We'll definitely have to do this again!

  1. There's nothing like pictures of a boy and his ducks to give you a good belly chuckle. That is the cutest thing I've ever seen. Decker thinks so too. Man, there are a lot of ducks at that pond! I wonder how many of them are the ducklings that were hatched while we were in school and just won't move out.

  3. Sounds a little like what heaven would be for me, only I'd be chasing ducks while they and I were flying.

  4. That's hilarious! Eli loves ducks too. We were at a big park the other day and he kept wanting to wander off to the other side where the duck pond was. It's hard to keep these little guys away!
