We took Brendan out to trick-or-treat tonight and had some fantastic results (although Chris was disappointed in the candy selection for the up-scale neighborhood we went to). We were a little nervous about how Brendan would react to being in his robot costume since earlier in the week when we tried it on him, he FREAKED out- crying and screaming until we took it off. This time luckily he did much better!
Brendan was super excited to be out with the other kids and loved waving to everyone. He really loved getting the piece of candy and putting it in his bucket. As soon as the door would open, he would hold out his hand waiting for the candy.
He was well-behaved and happy... what more could we ask for? He did try to walk into a couple of the homes at first but once he got the hang of it, Brendan become a trick-or-treating pro. My little robot made his mama proud!
what a cute robot!! I love Brendan's costume. That first picture is very sweet with the two of you.
ReplyDeleteSO CUTE!!!! I LOVE the costume!! I'm glad he had fun!
ReplyDeleteCadence was a pro this year (they did treak-or-treating in her preschool class on wednesday so she was pumped and ready to do it again!) It took Jack about 5 trunks (ward trunk-or-treat) to realize that each car was going to give him new candy, once he grasped that concept it was hard to hold him back! It was so funny!
I am guessing that you made that adorable robot you talented girl you. He looks so cute! We made Madeline go as, wait for it, Madeline (the book character) and she freaked out when we put the blue coat on her lol. She didn't much like the hat. So that really is a big deal that he did so great!
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to his blue button?
